Recording The Tetley
The former Tetley art gallery, Leeds (UK), 2023-2024
A series of site-responsive multimedia recording performances undertaken in The Tetley art gallery in Leeds, which was located in the Art Deco former Tetley's Brewery HQ, after the gallery’s announced closure following the building’s purchased by international developers.
The work acts as an expanded archive, documenting an important lost site for artists in the city as a result of increased economic pressures and forces of gentrification in post-industrial areas of the city.
The work was exhibited as part of A few fragments of something lost (2024), in the East Street Arts Project Space, Leeds.
