Leeds Town Hall

The destruction of 50 clay moulds recorded from the re-situated Memorial to Queen Victoria, Statue Of Duke Of Wellington and Sir Robert Peel statues on Woodhouse Moor, Leeds performed on front steps of Leeds Town Hall the site the statues were relocated from in 1937 for a car park. The work merges and re-imagines previous iterations of the space, the materiality of the artist's process, lost futures and failed dreams. Clay used in the performance was re-constituted and donated to Leeds art students to be re-formed and continue its existence as new art objects.
