Recording Performance Central Court II
Leeds Art Gallery, Leeds (UK), 2021
Fragments of the Central Court architecture recorded using clay combined with earth dug from a Leeds construction site, was used to take press moulds from the gallery during the installation of Spatial Drifts.
The performance re-staged recording processes used to document the gallery during its refurbishment in 2017 (image 6), with the unfired clay a fragile marker of the space in 2021.
The work was performed as part of Spatial Drifts (2021), at Leeds Art Gallery.
